09 Aug Kiwi’s Much Loved Chilgrove Gin Fridays
At Kiwi Recruitment, we are lucky enough to enjoy a mouth-watering beverage of Chilgrove Gin each Friday. The whole team looks forward to this treat at the end of the week and it has become our regular go-to drink outside of work, too.
Chilgrove is a quaint little hamlet tucked away in West Sussex’s beautiful countryside. Situated in the middle of Petersfield and Chichester, Chilgrove is under the parish of West Dean, and is hugely popular amongst walkers and cyclists. This little hamlet’s pride and glory is Chilgrove Gin.
Chilgrove Gin comes in three different tastes: Bluewater Gin, Signature Gin, and Bramble Gin.
Bluewater Gin is ‘bottled at a super-premium 46% abv’ and is a London Dry Gin. The delicious drink is crafted using 14 Australian and English botanicals. The Australian botanicals include: Lemon Myrtle, Finger Lime, Davidson Plum, and Riberry. The English botanicals comprise: Coriander, Mint, Angelica, and Savory.
The Signature Gin is branded as ‘The Gin for all seasons’. This drink is ‘Handcrafted using traditional methods and distilled with natural mineral water filtered through the very chalk Downs which surround Chilgrove’. The drink boasts a mix of Sussex-grown botanicals and a neutral spirit distilled from grapes, creating this fine London Dry Gin. The beverage contains 11 carefully chosen botanicals, and is crafted under the keen eye of the Gin’s master distiller.
The Bramble Edition Gin is a combination of ‘100% grape-alcohol and crystal-clear Sussex natural mineral water, from South Downs Water, along with twelve carefully balanced botanicals including blackberry.’ The Dry London Gin is then imbued with English blackberries. The drink earns a bottling-strength of 42% abv, aptly being titled ‘Super-Premium Gin’.
