Up, Up and Away: Family Activities
On Friday the 1st of November, Chichester Cathedral will be hosting a fun day for the family from the hours of 11:45 to 14:30. Tickets cost £2.50 each, with a voucher offered for a meal costing £1.50 when an adult purchases at least £5.50 in the Cloisters Cafe during the event hours. Booking is not required. The event will give children the opportunity to make crafts and win a prize. The event is aimed towards children aged 3 – 11 years old.
Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare
West Dean Gardens will be displaying Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night as directed by John Hyatt at the Pergola Open Air Theatre. Tickets for the show, put on by New Theatre Productions, costs £10 or £8 for children under 16. The location offers disabled access and invites people to bring picnics.
Christmas Market at the Weald and Downland Living Museum
This event will take place from Friday the 22nd of November until Sunday the 24th of November. Each day will start at 10:30 until 16:00. The market at this local museum boasts over 150 stands of arts an d crafts as well as food, gifts and more. The day will also hold festive music and seasonal treats. According to the museum website, tickets cost:
- £8 for adults (over 18s)
- Free children aged 0-17 years
- Free disabled people (plus a single helper)
- Entry is free for Annual Members.
Laughing George Comedy Club
On the 1st of November at 20:00 – 22:30, The Geroge and Dragon Inn in Chichester’s North Street will be hosting a comedy night. The event is 18+ only, and tickets costs £10. Event goers can look forward to comedy from the likes of Al Lubel and Sandi Smith.
Abba Tribute Night
For the Abba lovers amongst you, this event will take place on Friday the 22nd of November at 19:00 – 00:30. The event comprises of a pre-dinner drink, a three course-dinner and an excellent ABBA tribute. After the tribute act has performed, guests can look forward to a DJ and a disco until the end of the event. Tickets cost £39, and the event will take place at the Hilton Avisford Park in Arundel.
Another tribute band, but this time for, yep, you guessed it: Take That. Kidding! The Rolling Stones. This event will take place on Saturday the 16th of November at 19:00. The event costs £22 (including a booking fee) and will be held at the Assembly Rooms in Chichester.
