What is your job role?

Managing Director of The Country Mouse Nursery

What is your favourite aspect of your job role?

Working with children, to help them grow and develop.

What is your least favourite aspect of your job role?

Never enough time in the day to achieve all I set out to.

How many hours does your job require you to work a week?

42 (Although I work many more)

What is the social aspect of your job like?

Very social – work with an amazing team of talented practitioners

How challenging was the application process for your role?

It was lengthy, but working with children all bases must be covered.

Did you have any relevant experience/higher education before applying for your role?

I have a PGCE in Primary education, with Teaching Status

Do you have any tips for anyone wanting to pursue the same/a similar job role?

Read and be up to date with theories and various practices in education.

What is a general day in the life of your role?

Showing prospective parents round, completing day-to-day paperwork for the nursery, ordering resources, assessing staff, working with children, developing enriching environments for the children, inspiring children.
